Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said limited food consumption can help lead a healthy and happy life.
The minister stated this while addressing the World Food Day as chief guest arranged recently by Ministry of Agriculture and FAO at Agrabad Government CGS Colony High School.
He said children should be feed homemade foods instead of fast food because fast food can increase risk for health problems such as obesity.
Food production, he said, has increased manifolds over the past few years in the country due to visionary leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
With Secretary of Agriculture Mohammad Nasiruzzaman in the chair, it was attended, among others, by Additional Secretary of Agriculture Abdur Rouf, Director General of Agriculture Extension Directorate Mohammad Abdul Muid and Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Mohammad Elias Hossain.
