A student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University(BSMRSTU) was killed in lightning strike on the campus on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Harun Hasnat, 20, son of Khalil Matubbar of Tribordi village in Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district, and a 1st year student of Law Department of the university.
Harun’s classmates said a thunderbolt struck Harun in the main gate area in the evening while he was going outside, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was rushed to Gopalganj General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
