Netrakona Correspondent :Three persons, including a school student were killed in lightning in three villages of Kendua upazila under Netrakona district on Monday. Police and local people said, the dead were identified as Atiqul Islam,22, son of Suwad Mia from village Raipur in Kendua upazila of the district, Ariful Haque,13, son of Alimuddin from village Sonrakanda and Rasel,12, son of Nurul Islam of village Goichasia in Kendua upazila of the district. According to the sources, Atiqul was hit by lightning when he was harvesting the Boro paddy in a farm land nearby his house on Tuesday afternoon during the rainfall. Ariful, who was the student of class nine of Mojlishpur High School, was struck by lightning when he was retuning to his house from the school in the afternoon during the torrential rainfall. Rasel was hit by thunder-bolt when he was standing on his house premises during the heavy downpour on Tuesday afternoon.
