Two persons were killed and another two injured with lightning in the port city yesterday afternoon. The incident of lightning occurred at Fisheryghat in city under Kotwali thana at about 12.30 pm yesterday.
The victims identified as fishermen named Kabir Hossain and Mofiz Miah hails from Moheskhali upazila of coxsbazar district. The injured fishermen are Sona Miah and Amir Hossain. After injured by lightning, the locals brought them in Chittagong Medical college hospital where the attending doctors declared Kabir and Mofiz dead and the injured persons were given treatment in the hospital till writing this report.
