At least two fishermen were killed in a lightning strike and another two injured while fishing in karpasha Bara haor under Nikli Upazila of Kishoreganj on Tuesday.
The Victim’s have been identified as Jalhu Miah( 50, )son of late Aslamuddin of Auliavita village under karpasha union of Nikli and Shafiqul ( 35)son of Khelu Mia of Gachgarhia Hati in Nikli Upazila.
The injured fishermen named Kamrul, (35) and Motaleb (45) were admitted to Syed Nazrul Islam medical college hospital (SNMCH) in Kishoreganj.
Nikli Police Station Officer-in-charge (OC) Shamsul Alam Siddiqui confirmed the matter to the New Nation.
