“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, at a few places in Rajshahi, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am yesterday,” said a Met bulletin issued on Tuesday morning. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. The maximum temperature was recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius on Monday at Sayedpur in Rangpur division while Tuesday’s minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius at Rangamati in Chattogram division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am on Tuesday was recorded 29 mm at Nikli in Dhaka division.
