Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts light to moderate rain or thundershowers throughout the country in 24-hour as of 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions,” said a met office press release here on Monday morning. Moderately heavy falls may also take place at some places in those divisions in 24-hour commencing 9am on Monday, the release added. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. The maximum temperature was recorded 35.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday at Jashore in Khulna division while yesterday’s minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius at Sylhet and Ragamati in Sylhet and Chattogram divisions respectively.
The highest rainfall in the last 24-hour as of 6am on Monday was recorded 28mm at Nikli in Dhaka division, the release added.
