Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted light to moderate rain accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am on Wednesday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over Southern part of Bangladesh,” said a Met office bulletin issued on Wednesday morning.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius in
Sayedpur, while Wednesday’s minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded 22mm in Barishal.
