The met office on Saturday predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing at 9am on Saturday.
The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in two districts of the country.
“Mild heat wave is sweeping over Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue,” said the bulletin, reports BSS.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga while the minimum temperature on Saturday was 24.0 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Saturday was recorded 119 mm at Sylhet.
