Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country,” said a met office press release on Saturday.
However, the day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, reports BSS.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius jointly at Tarash and Tetulia while the minimum temperature on Saturday was 23.5 degrees Celsius at Rangamati.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Saturday was recorded 18 mm at Sylhet.
