The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in four districts, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing 9am on Thursday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over northern part of the country,” the met office bulletin said.
“Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Khulna, Satkhira, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue and spread,” said a met office press release on Wednesday, reports BSS.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 37.1 degrees Celsius at Khulna and minimum temperature on Thursday was 22.1 degrees Celsius at Netrokona.
