Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued on Tuesday.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius at Sylhet in Sylhet division while Tuesday’s minimum temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 24
millimeters (mm) at Srimangal in Sylhet division.
