Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind may occur at many places of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am today.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions during the time, a met office press release said.
Moderately heavy to heavy falls, however, is likely to occur at isolatedplaces over northern part of the country during the period, it said.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius atMongla in Khulna and Friday’s minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius at Tangail and Ishurdi in Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions respectively.
