Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at different places in the country, a met office press release said on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions and at many places over Chattogram, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.7 degrees Celsius at Chandpur and minimum temperature on Wednesday was 24.4 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am yesterday was recorded 59 millimeters (mm) at Netrokona.
