Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in different parts of the country, a met office press release said on Thursday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi division with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The low over Odisha and adjoining area has become unimportant and merged with the monsoon axis. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded by 34.3 degree Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 23.9 degree Celsius at Hatiya. Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00am yesterday was recorded by 103 millimeters (mm) Sandwip.
