Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the
country in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a met office bulletin issued in Dhaka on Friday morning.
Day temperature may fall 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added. The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 63 mm at Barishal in Barishal division.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Khulna division and minimum temperature on Friday was 25.0 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Khulna division and Feni and Kutubdia in Chattogram division respectively.
