Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in 24-hour till 9am tomorrow,” said a met office bulletin issued here .
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am on Friday was recorded 76 mm at Netrokona in Mymensingh division.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi in Rajshahi division and Friday’s minimum temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Kumarkhali in Khulna division.
