The different parts of the country is likely to experience light to moderate rain with moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in the southern part of the country in the next 24 hours till 9 am today. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over southern part of Bangladesh”, said a met office weather bulletin issued here on Monday. “The rainfall activity may increase over southern part of Bangladesh”, added the bulletin as an outlook for the next 72 hours. However, the bulletin predicted that the day temperature may fall slightly over southern part and may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country, with an unchanged night temperature across the country. The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Kutubdia in Chattogram division and Monday’s minimum temperature was 25.7 degrees Celsius at Rangamati in Chattogram division.
