Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at different places across the country, a met office release said yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country,” it said.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The well marked low over Jarkhand and adjoining area off North Jarkhand now lies over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas as a low.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
The monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, the centre of the low, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 34.9 degrees Celsius at Sylhet and minimum temperature yesterday was 25.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Chattogram and Rangamati.
Country’s highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am yesterday was recorded 90 millimetres (mm) at Feni.
