Light to moderate rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain along with moderately heavy to heavy falls in some parts of the country.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country today,” it said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Horyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
Maximum temperature in country on Monday was recorded 33.9 degrees Celsius at Sylhet and Srimangal and lowest temperature on Tuesday 24.5 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.
