Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted that light to moderate rain likely to occur at many parts over the country in the next 24 hours.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin issued on Saturday morning here. “Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay,” it added As an outlook for next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the rainfall activity may increase at the end period. However, the day temperature may rise by 1-2 degree Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country. The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 35.8 degree Celsius in Rajshahi while Saturday’s minimum temperature was 24.3 degree Celsius in Rangamati district.
