Most parts of the country is likely to experience light to moderate rain in the next 24 hours till 9 am today (Monday), a Met forecast said.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places in the country”, said the met office bulletin issued here today.
“Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay”, it added.
The met office also predicted that the rainfall activity may continue for next 72 hours.
However, the day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 34.2 degrees Celsius in Sylhet and today’s minimum temperature is 20.0 degrees Celsius at Maijdee Court in Chattogram division.
The sun sets at 6:50 pm today and rises at 5:17 am tomorrow in the capital.
