The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind at some places over the country in 24 hours as of 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, at many places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in 24 hours ending at 9 am today,” said a met office press release here on Wednesday.It also predicted heavy rainfall over the south region of the country under the influence of a cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ over west-central bay and adjoining area. Day and night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country during the period.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 35.3 degrees Celsius on Tuesday at
Chuadanga in Khulna division while Wednesday’s minimum temperature 19.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
