Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in some place across the country in 24-hour as of 9am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office press release here on Thursday morning. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.
The maximum temperature was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius on Wednesday at Jashore in Khulna division while Thursday’s minimum temperature was 24.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24-hour as of 6am on Thursday was recorded 51mm at Cox’s Bazar in Chattogram division.
