Light to moderate rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country.
“Light to moderate rain or showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office release here on Sunday, reports BSS.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay, it said.
However, the day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Sylhet while the minimum temperature today was 25.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Rangamati, Hatiya, Kutubdia and Teknaf.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 32 mm at Hatiya. The sun sets at 6.28 pm today and rises at 5.36 am tomorrow in the capital.
