Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur in different parts of the country, a met office release said yesterday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions; at many places over Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions, it said.
Moderately heavy to very heavy falls may occur at some places over southern part of the country, it also said.
Day temperature may fall 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The well marked low over Northwest Bay and adjoining Central Bay moved west-northwestwards and intensified first into a Depression and then a Deep Depression and now lies over Northwest Bay and adjoining Odisha coast (Lat. 20.5o N and Long 86.8 o E).
It is likely to move west or northwestrly direction further.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, the centre of the Deep Depression, West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong elsewhere over North Bay.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am yesterday was recorded 53 millimeters (mm) at Jashore.
