Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a met office bulletin issued on Friday morning.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 71 mm at Chandpur in Chattogram division.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur in Rangpur division and minimum temperature on Friday was 23.2 degrees Celsius at Gopalganj in Dhaka division.
