Light to moderate rain likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a met office bulletin issued here.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 12 mm at Rajshahi in Rajshahi division.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet division and minimum temperature on Friday was 24.9 degrees Celsius at Rangamati in Chattogram division.
