Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, at many places over Chattogram division and at a few over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued here.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it added.
The maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 35.3 degrees Celsius at Ishwardi while Tuesday’s minimum temperature 23.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tarash in Rajshahi division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 68millimeters (mm) at Badalgachhi in Rajshahi division.
