Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a Met office bulletin issued here on Friday morning.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am on Friday was recorded 105 mm at Sitakunda in Chattogram division.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 34.7 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet division and minimum temperature on Friday was 23.2 degrees Celsius at Jashore in Khulna division.
