Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am yesterday. “Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin on Thursday. Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country’s highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.4 degrees Celsius at Dhaka and Thursday’s lowest temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius at Tangail.
