Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers in the next 24 hours commencing 9am.
Most parts of Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram are likely to be hit by rain accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind.
Besides, many places in Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions and at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions are likely to see light to moderate rain or thunder showers.
According to the Met office, a low over the North Bay and adjoining area intensified into a well-marked low over the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, the center of the well-marked low and northeastwards to Assam across Southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is active over the southern part, fairly active over northern part of Bangladesh and strong over the North Bay.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly all over the country.
