Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesteray.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country in 24-hour till 9am today,” said a met office bulletin issued on Friday morning.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded at 110 mm at Rajarhat in Rangpur division.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius at Chandpur in Chattogram division and minimum temperature on Friday was 23.0 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur in Rangpur division.
