Light rain with gusty wind likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office bulletin issued in Dhaka on Saturday.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, it added.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 33.1degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division while Saturday’s minimum temperature was recorded 25.0 degrees Celcius jointly at Sandwip, Sitakunda, Rangamati, Cumilla and Teknaf in Chattogram division.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded 90 millimeters (mm) at Khepupara in Barishal division.
