Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in different parts of the country, a met office press release said on Monday.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country,” it said.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends upto North Bay.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Ishwarrdi and minimum temperature on Monday was 24.5 degrees Celsius at Chattogram.
The maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am yesterday was recorded 66 millimeters (mm) at Ishwardi.
