Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions in 24 hours as of 9 am today, said a Met office release on Sunday.
Besides moderately heavy falls is also likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions during the time, it added.
Country’s highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 36.6 degree Celsius at Jessore and Sunday’s minimum temperature 23.4 degree Celsius at Cox’s Bazar.
The highest rainfall in last 24 hours till 6 am on Sunday was recorded 105 millimeter at Kutubdia.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Meanwhile, a warning message of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said, “Rain or thunder showers with temporary south or south-easterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal number one till 6pm on Sunday.”
