Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Chittagong, Dhaka and Barisal divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, a met office release said on Saturday.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Punjab, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay, it added.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
