Light to moderate rain or hundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country. Day temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, said a met office press release here on Monday.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West
Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated
troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and
moderate over the North Bay.
Maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded by 35.0 degree Celsius at
Rajshahi and lowest one was recorded on Monday by 23.7 degree Celsius at Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am was recorded by
191 millimeters (mm) at Rajarhat.
