Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours as of 9 am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Chattogram and Barishal divisions, at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and a few places over Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country during the time,” according to a Met office press release.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. The highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am yesterday was recorded at 90 millimeters (mm) at Khepupara followed by 78 mm at Teknaf.
