Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal accompanied by local legislature and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury visited Girichaya Project in Raozan of North Chattogram on Thursday .
During his stay over in Giri Chaya assures for erecting a Mausoleum (Liberation War memorial) within the tourism complex very shortly.
He said it was the long felt demand of the people of Raozan since long .Giri Chaya is the last border of Raozan upazila towards Rangamati which is the natural enriched memorial place of great liberation war encircled by rubber plantation.
Local legislature ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP was also committed to erect a liberation mausoleum here since long. This picnic -cum-tourist complex was built up following the attractions of the tourists of home and abroad.
A mini-zoo also built up within its complex .
The home minster expressed satisfaction over its location of natural beauties and thanked the promoter of the complex for his praiseworthy efforts of building a full fledged tourism complex and a mini zoo. ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP also apprised the Minister about his planning centring the Giri Chaya . Panel Mayor of Raozan and promoter of Girichaya urges the Minister for extending cooperations for building a fullfledged tourism complex of Girichaya.
The minister goes round the complex within the short stay there. Mentionable that a number of Ministers, MPs , high govt officials including US Ambassador visited the complex earlier.
