The development activities in Sakhipur are increasingly accelerated and dynamic.
In the Upazila the government’s multi-pronged project is being implemented so that there is a widespread development. As a result the people are getting the benefits of the development projects.
According to the Upazila Engineer’s office, the rural population and communication system have changed since the completion of various projects in eight union and municipalities. As the construction of roads, bridges and culverts and the implementation of the construction work, the sufferings of the helpless people in rural areas have wreaked havoc. It is also known that the development of projects taken under renovation of the school-college under LGED, renovation, reconstruction, educational institutions, orphanages, mosques, temples, madrasas and other infrastructure projects were implemented.
Among the notable works, construction of extended administrative buildings and hallrooms of Sakhipur upazila complex, construction of Ghazaria and Bahuria union council buildings costing nearly two crore taka and construction of 10 landless and unfriendly freedom fighters at the cost of nearly Tk. 5 crore. About this, LGF’s Sakhipur Upazila Engineer Kazi Fahad Kuddus said that the development of the multi-pronged project of the government has resulted in widespread development in Sakhipur upazila Many more development works are ongoing and tender is also done. If implementation of these works done properly then it will be a model upazila, he added.
