LG Electronics Bangladesh provided financial support to three young social welfare organisations, who are working to bring positive changes in different areas of the country.
They were also recognized as “LG Ambassadors” for their willingness and struggle to work for welfare of the people.
The donations and recognition were given at a ceremony held in a city hotel, said a press release on Tuesday.
The recognized organisations are Batch 97 at Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria, Suborno Alo Public Library in Noakhali and Tarunner Ogrodut in Chandpur Sadar.
The LG Ambassador Project was adopted to inspire young people who want to be a partner of social change and to help them implementing their dreams. A total of 237 project proposals have been submitted from June to September, 2017 through a campaign conducted on “LG Bangladesh” Facebook page.
These three organisations were selected from those proposals by considering sustainability of the projects and organisations’ efficiency for implementation.
Managing Director of LG Electronics Bangladesh Edward Kim said: “Youth is a powerful tool for bringing changes. Young people of Bangladesh are very enthusiastic and they are playing an active role in solving the problems of the society.”
