The legs of three train passengers cut off as the engine of a train was hit with a brick ladden tractor at Mondolerhaat near Rajarhat rail station in Kurigram district on Monday noon.
Eyewitnesses and police sources said, a brick- ladden tractor was kept by the side of the rail line. The engine of the running train hit with the tractor.Three passengers fall down from the train and the train run over their legs.Each of their legs were disconnected. Locals rescued them and sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
They were identified as Pobitra Kumer 25,Robi Das 32 and Akkas Ali 31.Officer-in-charge of Rajarhat police station Moynul Islam said the tractor held and brought to thana but the driver managed to escape.
