Legendary film actress of Bangladesh and Pakistan Shabnam will turn into 75 today. It means after passing silver, golden and diamond jubilees, she will turn into platinum jubilee today. But she has no excitement to celebrate the day. While talking in this regard Shabnam said, “Basically at this stage of life, there is no excitement to celebrate the birthday. As I didn’t come out from home for many days so, I have planned to attend a dinner outside the home with my only son today. Now time will say what will be happened.”
Nacher Putul famed actress Shabnam is still waiting to work in good story based film. After working in Kazi Hayat’s Aammajan she did not see to act in any film for last 22 years. During this time she got many offers to work but Shabnam did not agree to work due to not to like stories and her characters. In the meantime, she was confirmed to work in film Khodar Pore Maa, but its story was not original. For this reason, she didn’t show her interest to work.
In lip of Razzak, late Mahmudunnabi rendered song titled Aynate oi mukh dekhbe jokhon from Ashok Ghosh directed film Nacher Putul is still popular among the hearts of many film-lovers. Shabnam was heroine of that film. It is one of the legendary songs of our play-back arena. In her long time acting career, Shabnam acted in many films in Pakistan. She got the highest numbers of Nigar Awards there for acting in films. But Shabnam is still very much eager to work in Bangladeshi films.
Shabnam said, “I am still waiting to work in good story based film. Aammajan was my acted last released film which has already become milestone. Meanwhile, I also worked in a TV serial in Pakistan which works remain stopped now. I am now staying at my residence in the capital’s Baridhara area with my son Roni.”
