A workshop on `Legal aid’ for poor and helpless people was held at Pirganj upazila parishad hall room in Thakurgaon on Saturday.
Heks-switzerland assisted `Promotion of rights for Ethnic Minority and Dalits Improvement Program (Premdip) of Eco-social Development Organization (ESDO) an NGO arranged the Workshop. The Workshop presided over by Md. Ziaul Islam Zia Chairman Pirganj Upazila Parishad and Upazila `Legal aid’ committee was addressed among others by Upazila Nirbahi officer and secretary `Legal aid’ committee ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandakar, Executive Director of ESDO Dr. Shahiduzzaman, President Thakurgaon district Bar Association Bodiuzzaman Chowdhury, AGP Atul Prasad Ray, Advocate Joinal Abedin, Ajgar Ali, Abedur Rahman, Mahmuda Akter and Ekramul Hoque, UP chairman Aktarul Islam and Akramul Hoque, Panel Mayor Abdul Khaleque, Inspector (Inquiry) wahed Ali, Fishery officer Foysal Azom, Ittefaq Correspondent and Pirganj Press club President Md.
