The monthly conference of Kishoreganj district Legal Aid Committee was held at District Judge Court Conference room on Tuesday.
Senior District & Session Judge A.M. Md. Sayeed presided over the conference. Special Judge (Childern & Women) Sadik Golam Sarowar, Civil Surjeon Dr. Mrinal Kanti Pondit and ADM md. Rabiul Alam attended as speical guests.
Senior District Judge said, at least 70903 law suits were disposed of during the time from 2011- June 2014.
There were 19989 civil cases and 50914 criminal cases. Among the criminal cases life imprisonment was awarded to 47 criminal cases of sensational category. Besides, this sentenced to death was awarded to four cases.
It was addressed among others by Joint District Judge Zakir Hossion, District Legal Aid Officer Mohamudul Hasan, District Bar President & P.P Adv Shah Azizul Hoque, Senior Advocate Dolon Bhomik, Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Md. Owadud Miah, District Women Affairs Officer Kamiza Yesmin, Speical P.P of Woman and Children Tribunal Adv M.A Afzal, District Jailer Md. Sahfi, Mohila Samity District President Rajia Sultana, D.D Social Service Shamsul Alam and Court Inspector Md. Humayon Kabir.
