ASK Trade and Exhibitions Private Ltd is going to organize the third international exposition titled “Leathertech Bangladesh 2015” on Thursday at Bashundhara International Convention City in the city.
The three-day international tradeshow on machinery, components, leather, chemicals and accessories for leather, footwear and leather goods would help the sector flourish.
Industries Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan will attend the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest,” ASK Trade and Exhibition Pvt Ltd Director Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan told journalists at a briefing at a city hotel on Wednesday.
Sultan said the show will have the widest range of machinery and components and parts on display helping all sectors to source and witness the latest technology on display.
“Overall there is an increase in size and scale of participation in this edition”, he said.
He expressed the hope that the exhibition would reflect on investment towards expansion, modernization and capacity building of the leather sector in the country.
ASK Trade and Exhibitions Private Limited Director Nandagopal K and Leather goods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) Executive Director Roushan Ara also spoke on the occasion.
Over 140 exhibitors from Turkey, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Italy, Singapore and Japan with a 30- member strong pavilion from India and a large pavilion from China will participate in the event showcasing machinery for tanning leather, manufacturing footwear and leather goods along with components, dyes and chemicals, accessories, allied products and leather to benefit all sectors of the leather industry.
