Learning history of genocide in Liberation War emphasized

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor urged all to know the history of genocide in the country’s great Liberation War.
“Acquainting new generation with the genocide of liberation war is very important. The students should also learn about the sacrifices of the martyrs of Dhaka University during the genocide in 1971,” he said this on Friday while speaking at a programme at Dhaka University (DU).
Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS) of DU organised the programme at the historic Bot Tala in the campus.
With a view to acquainting the new generation with the genocide of liberation war, a mobile museum titled “The Walking Museum: University of Dhaka and 1971 Genocide” was inaugurated by the minister.
Recalling the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Asaduzzaman Noor said, “Bangabandhu was the leader of all religions, races and parties.”
Bangabandhu’s 7th March speech touched every Bangalee’s heart and inspired them to prepare for the Liberation War.”
