The public representatives of Chittagong emphasised the need for distribution of leaflets and online publicity beside the awareness of the guardians to save the students as well as the youth communities.
At the same they proposed to stop the haphazard growth of coaching centres from the city and monitoring the educational institutions . This was expressed by the local representatives at a the anti-militant and anti-terrorism meeting held at the conference hall of Chittagong District administration on Monday. Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mesbahuddin presided over the meeting.
The speakers also emphasized over the joint meeting of Imams, members of Masjid committee and Mahalla sardars to monitor the militant activities if any in the respective areas.
The meeting urged the govt to monitor the private universities, college and English medium schools even from syllabus and curriculums .
Among others, Civil Surgeon of Chittagong Dr. Azizur Rahman Siddiqui, Raozan Upazila Chairman Ehsanul Haider chowdhury Babul, Ranguniia upazila chairman Ali shah, Patiya Upazila Chairman Mozaffar Ahmed Chowdhury, Secretary of South Distsrict Awami League Mofizur Rahman , JP leader Solaiman alam Seth, Press Club President Kalim Sarwar, JSD leader Bhanuranjan Chakraborty, teachers and the social personalitiesof Chittagong were present on the occasion.
