Six months have elapsed since Le MERIDIEN DHAKA, the newest five star hotel in Dhaka was soft-opened with 50 per cent of its 304 guestrooms on the 1st of June. Situated close to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Le MERIDIEN DHAKA, before its grnd opening in mid-November, has already won international awards by now.
In respect business, room occupancy and F & B (food and beverage), Le MERIDIEN DHAKA is doing very well beyond expectation.
Room guests or outsiders can enjoy multi-cuisine buffet breakfast between 6 and 11 AM for BDT 2,200 plus, sumptuous buffet lunch between 12 and 3-30 PM for BDT 2,950 plus and dinner between 6 and 11 PM for BDT 3,600 plus on weekdays. On Friday and Saturday, the charge for dinner rises to BDT 4,400 plus per person.
Although Le MERIDIEN DHAKA’S rooftop superb swimming pool is free for use by the room guests, outsiders can enjoy swimming there in the pool paying BDT 3,500 per person. Children below the age of twelve must have to be accompanied by guardians to swim in the pool paying 50 percent discounted price.
At the moment, the hotel offers two types of weekend package. One package for two is for BDT 15,00 including buffet breakfast and other package is for two is for BDT 19,000 including buffet dinner and buffet breakfast.
“We are doing business beyond our expectation. By now we have won several international awards and started getting repeat guests,” said Le MERIDIEN DHAKA’S General Manager, Ashwani Nayar, while talking to this correspondent in the afternoon recently. Before joining Le MERIDIEN DHAKA, Ashwani Nayar, a hotel management graduate, worked in five star hotels in India and Nepal having 25 years of working experience to his credit. Le MERIDIEN DHAKA is one of more than 1200 hotels run by Starwoods Hotels and Resorts, a US-based international chain hotel company operating hotels in around 100 countries of the world.
